Environmental-Friendly Metal-Enclosed Switchgear Technology Forum

The 5th Council Meeting of the 1st Session of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee of China Electrical Equipment Industry Association was held in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province from May 12 to 14, 2015. The meeting was presided over by Zhou Yanlun, Chairman of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee of China Electrical Equipment Industry Association. A total of 38 chairmen and director units of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee, with 47 participants, attended the meeting.

The meeting commenced with a welcome speech delivered by Zhou Songming, Chairman of Zhongshan Zhongda Power Automation Co., Ltd., the co-organizer of the meeting. Chairman Zhou extended a warm welcome to all attendees, introduced the general situation of Zhongda Power, and expressed the expectation of cooperating with all participating units to jointly support the development of the smart grid industry.

Zhou Yanlun, Chairman of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee, submitted the work report (draft for discussion) of the 5th Council Meeting of the 1st Session of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee for review. The report, titled "Implementing the Strategy of Building a Manufacturing Power to Promote the Rapid Development of Smart Grid Equipment Manufacturing," is divided into three parts: reviewing the main work of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee since its establishment, analyzing the current situation and requirements of the industry, and proposing work suggestions for the next year.

The meeting focused on reviewing several proposals submitted by Secretary-General Wang Kun regarding the transition of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee, including "Proposal on the Method for the Election of the 2nd Council and Secretary-General of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee," "Proposal on the Recommended Candidate Units for the 2nd Council and Chairman of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee," "Proposal on the Recommended Candidates for the 2nd Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee," and "Proposal on the Establishment of the 2nd Secretariat and Candidates for Secretary-General of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee." It is proposed that there will be 18 chairman units and 47 director units in the 2nd Council of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee. Zhou Yanlun, Deputy Secretary-General of China Electrical Equipment Industry Association, will serve as the Chairman of the 2nd Council, Shen Jiang and 18 others as Vice Chairmen, and Wang Kun as Secretary-General.

Secretary-General Wang Kun submitted the revised draft of the membership fee management and financial management regulations of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee for review. Discussions were also held on proposals regarding the addition of member units, automatic loss of membership for some member units, and the recognition of annual advanced member units and advanced workers. This plan proposes to add 2 new member units, 20 units automatically lose their membership, 42 advanced member units, and 44 advanced workers.

All proposals were unanimously approved by a show of hands, laying a solid foundation for the upcoming 5th Member Congress of the 1st Session of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee.

The Secretariat of the Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Working Committee will refine and detail the relevant work based on the opinions and suggestions of the representatives at the meeting. Adjustments to the content of the documents will be made in a timely manner according to the actual situation before the Member Congress, and submitted to the Member Congress for review.
